As the country celebrates Eid-ul-Fitr with utmost religious fervor, army chief General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed visited the Langadu army camp and Rangamati region headquarter to share joy of the occasion.
He travelled to the Chittagong Hill Tracts after offering Eid prayers in the Dhaka Cantonment on Saturday morning, where he also greeted members of the army, according to the ISPR.
General Shafiuddin also planted trees at Langadu camp and Ramgamati headquarter.
He participated in a lunch with all ranks of Army personnel at the Rangamati region headquarter.
Major General Mizanur Rahman Shamim, Area Commander and General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 24 Infantry Division, Bangladesh Army Adjutant General Major General Md Nazrul Islam, senior officers of the military headquarters, were present with the army chief.
Langadu army camp and other officials of Rangamati region headquarters, soldiers of other ranks and media persons were present.
Mentionable, the army chief did the same in the last Eid-ul-Azha.
