Bangladesh will get 1.5 million doses of the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine from Saudi Arabia and 3.3 million of from Poland as donations soon.
"Our (Bangladesh) Ambassador in Riyadh informed me that we are going to get 14,99,270 (1.5 million) doses of AstraZeneca vaccine at free of cost," Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen told BSS in a message sent from France on Tuesday evening.
The foreign minister said the jabs would arrive in Dhaka within two or three days.Moreover, Dr Momen said Poland would donate 3.3 million AZ vaccines free of cost to Bangladesh, and they would be shipped any day now.
The foreign minister said the vaccine doses from Poland are being donated through the European Union.
