CA Yunus seeks nation’s welfare after Eid-ul-Azha prayers

Following the Eid-ul-Azha prayers at the National Eidgah, Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus called upon all citizens to pray for the welfare and prosperity of the nation.

The Chief Adviser performed the Eid prayers in the front row at the High Court-adjacent National Eidgah grounds.

He joined the congregation for the khutbah and took part in the special supplication (monajat) that followed.

After the monajat, Mufti Mohammad Abdul Malek, the Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, approached the Chief Adviser to exchange Eid greetings with an embrace.

The Chief Adviser also exchanged Eid greetings with his three fellow advisers shortly afterward.

Wishing Eid Mubarak to all, the Chief Adviser said, “It was a joy to see everyone together at the Eid congregation today. I wish you all a blessed Eid. On this sacred day, I urge everyone to pray for the good of our beloved country. Allah Hafez.”

Surrounded by his security team, the Chief Adviser waved to the crowd as he left the Eidgah premises. Members of the public responded with warm greetings, with one person from the crowd heard saying, “Sir, we want you for five more years!”

The main Eid congregation at the National Eidgah was held at 7:30 AM. Mufti Mohammad Abdul Malek led the Eid prayer, followed by the khutbah and the concluding monajat.

Several dignitaries and officials took part in the main congregation, including interim government advisers Fawzul Kabir Khan, Wahiduddin Mahmood, and Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, as well as diplomats, justices, and high-ranking government officials.
