In the last 24 hours till Saturday (October 9) morning, Bangladesh reported 20 more deaths from Covid-19 and symptoms similar to the virus.
Overnight, the covid death toll was tripled. Earlier, on Friday (October 8), health authorities reported seven deaths from Covid-19 - the lowest daily deaths reported in seven months.
With today's figures, the tally of Covid-19 deaths in the country has reached 27,674.
Meanwhile, on Saturday's covid bulletin it was revealed that 415 people were contaminated with the virus, taking the tally of infections to 15,61,278.
The figures were recorded between Friday 8:00 am and Saturday 8:00 am.
The lastest Covid-19 situation in the country was revealed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in its routine daily statement on Saturday evening.
Last year on March 8, the first Covid-19 case was confirmed in Bangladesh.
