The Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB) reported that more than 30,000 mobile towers are out of service due to Cyclone Remal. According to AMTOB, return to normal mobile network services are needed one more day.
In cyclone-hit regions, contacting anyone via mobile phone has become nearly impossible. Additionally, mobile banking services have been disrupted, preventing money transfers. Yesterday, Monday, the power outage worsened the situation for local residents. One customer shared, "We can`t talk to anyone or send money for emergencies."
Struggling with severe disruptions, many customers report being cut off from communication due to the cyclone. The pressing question on everyone`s mind is, "When will this end?" Fortunately, there is some hope. Operators are optimistic that the situation in the affected areas might stabilize by the afternoon.
