Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser, is scheduled to undertake a four-day official visit to China, starting on March 26.
This announcement was made by Shafiqul Alam, the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, during a press briefing on Sunday.
Sharing details about the upcoming visit, Shafiqul Alam said, "The Chinese Ambassador met with the Chief Adviser recently, and discussions took place regarding the agenda of the trip. The visit will begin on March 26, and on March 27, Dr. Yunus will be speaking at a forum in China."
This visit holds significance as it will be Dr. Yunus` first trip to China since he took office as the Chief Adviser, marking an important step in his diplomatic engagements.
Commenting on the overall reform process in Bangladesh, Shafiqul Alam highlighted, "The reform initiatives are being carried out with full transparency. Our foreign allies have expressed their willingness to extend support, but whether we choose to accept their assistance is entirely up to us. This is a matter solely for Bangladesh to decide."
Dr. Yunus’ visit to China, coupled with his participation in an international forum, signifies Bangladesh`s strengthening ties with key global players as it continues its path of reforms and development.
