Dry weather likely across Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast generally dry weather with temporary partly cloudy skies across the country over the next 24 hours.

In a bulletin issued this morning, effective from 9:00 am today, BMD said light to moderate fog may form at a few places during late night to morning hours. Night and day temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged nationwide.

According to the department, the highest maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 30.5 degrees Celsius at Feni, while the lowest minimum temperature today was 8.5 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.

In the capital, Dhaka, winds are likely to blow from the north to northwest at a speed of 6 to 12 kilometres per hour. Relative humidity in the city stood at 85 percent at 6:00 am.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:35 pm today and rise at 6:43 am tomorrow.
