Bangladesh is expected to experience generally dry weather with temporarily partly cloudy skies over the next 120 hours starting from 9:00 am today, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
A mild cold wave is currently sweeping through the districts of Panchogarh and Kurigram and is likely to continue. In addition, light to moderate fog may form in some parts of the country during late night to early morning hours.
The BMD said night temperatures may drop slightly, while day temperatures are expected to rise marginally across the country.
The lowest temperature recorded today was 9.4 degrees Celsius at Tetulia, while the highest temperature recorded yesterday was 31.4 degrees Celsius at Teknaf.
In Dhaka, winds were blowing from the west to northwesterly at speeds of 8 to 12 kilometres per hour. The relative humidity in the capital was recorded at 71 percent at 6:00 am.
The sun will set in the capital at 5:38 pm today and rise at 6:42 am tomorrow.
