Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said all citizens across Bangladesh have equal rights as full citizens. There is no discrimination for those following other religions.
The Prime Minister has warned that those involved with the Cumilla incident will be exemplarily punished, no matter from what religion or sect they belong.
She made the remarks while greeting followers of Hinduism at a Durga Puja ceremony at the capital's Dhakeshwari Temple on Thursday (October 14).
The premier joined virtually from her Ganabhaban residence.
The Prime Minister said those involved in the incident, regardless of their religion, would be traced and punished so that no one would dare to commit such incidents in the future.
