Five retired addl secretaries made secretaries

The interim government has given a two-year contractual appointments to five secretaries in four ministries and the President‍‍`s Office.

They have been appointed on contract for a period of two years from the date of joining, a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration said on Saturday.

Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen has been appointed Secretary of Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs while Dr Sheikh Abdur Rashid has been made Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division.

Md Ehchanul Haque has been made Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Division while M A Akmal Hossain Azad has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Railways.

Nasimul Gani has been given the responsibility of the President‍‍`s Office (Public Division).

All five appointees were recruited to the Bangladesh Civil Service in 1982. They retired before the 2018 elections.
