The Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate‍‍`s Court has placed former Law Minister Anisul Huq, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, and three other high-profile individuals on remand in connection with two murder cases filed under Jatrabari Police Station.

This decision was made on Monday, January 20, following a remand request made by the investigation officers.

The court granted a five-day remand for Salman F Rahman, the Prime Minister‍‍`s Advisor on Private Industry and Investment, along with Anisul Huq, Hasanul Haq Inu, Rashed Khan Menon, and Abdullah Al Mamun in relation to the Jisan murder case.

This case has drawn significant attention due to the involvement of prominent figures.

Furthermore, in the Mehedi Hasan murder case, the court also approved a five-day remand for Anisul Huq, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haq Inu, and Abdullah Al Mamun.

Both cases are under investigation by Jatrabari Police Station, and the remand is expected to help authorities gather crucial details.

Earlier in the day, all accused were brought to court by the investigating officers, who sought permission for remand.

After reviewing the arguments from both sides, the court granted their requests.

It‍‍`s important to mention that the court also formally showed 16 individuals, including Salman F Rahman and Anisul Huq, as arrested in various other cases.

Investigators had applied for these arrests to be formalized, and the court accepted their requests.
