The court has placed Iqbal Hossain, among four others on 5-day remand for the second phase, who was arrested on charges of keeping the Quran in a puja mandap amid the Durga Puja in Cumilla.
Judge Farhana Sultana of the Comilla Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court granted the remand at noon on Friday (October 29). CID Assistant Superintendent of Police Enamul Haque confirmed the matter to media.
Earlier on Saturday (October 23), the Comilla Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court granted a seven-day remand to each of the four accused, including Iqbal Hossain.
