Government offices resume after 10-day Eid-ul-Azha holiday

Following a continuous 10-day holiday for Eid-ul-Azha, government offices and courts across the country reopened on Sunday.

On the first day after Eid vacation, officials and employees at the Secretariat were seen exchanging Eid greetings and resuming regular activities.

Meetings on key national issues, including law and order, were held in various ministries in the morning as work gradually returned to its usual pace.

Advisors from different sectors were also present in the Secretariat, where they engaged in discussions and shared updates with officials.

With visitor access to the Secretariat now open, many people entered the premises with passes, and the parking areas inside the complex quickly filled up with vehicles, indicating a return to the typical busy environment.

Typically, each of the two major Islamic festivals in the country grants five days of government holidays.

This year, the Eid-ul-Azha break was extended by an additional two days, declared as holidays, in exchange for working on two Saturdays prior to the festival. As a result, government employees enjoyed a rare 10-day extended holiday during this Eid.
