The government has announced overnight accommodation support for passengers affected by flight cancellations linked to the unfolding situation in the Middle East.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment said multiple flights were cancelled, leaving many travelers unexpectedly stranded. It confirmed that all affected passengers would be provided with overnight lodging.
Passengers were advised to contact the Expatriate Welfare Desk or Lounge at the airport to receive assistance and necessary guidance.
Separately, Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad, the Religious Affairs Minister, visited the airport on Saturday and spoke with stranded passengers.
He assured them that the government stands by them and is taking steps to ease their difficulties during the disruption.
