The body of Zamil Ahamed Limon, one of the two Bangladeshi students killed in the United States, is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on May 4.
Officials at the Bangladesh Embassy in the US said the body will reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 8:40am on an Emirates flight.
They said the remains will be flown from Orlando on May 2 after funeral arrangements in Florida.
A namaz-e-janaza for Limon was held in Tampa on Thursday. No update has been given yet on the body of the other victim, Nahida Sultana Bristy.
Both victims, students of the University of South Florida, had gone missing on April 16. Limon’s body was later found near a bridge with signs of severe injuries.
Police said a second body was recovered from a nearby waterway, but its identity is yet to be confirmed.
The main suspect, Hisham Abugharbieh, has been arrested and is being held without bail. He faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder.
Investigators said they used phone data and other evidence to track the suspect’s movements. Items linked to the victims were also found during the investigation.
Authorities said the case remains under investigation, with further legal steps expected in the coming days.
