The operations of the metro rail will resume next Saturday, the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has said.
However, the operation of two stations -- Kazipara and Mirpur-10 -- that were vandalised on July 19, will remain suspended until repaired.
The Advisory Council of the Interim Government on Sunday took the decision.
Amid the nationwide quota movement, the DMTCL halted the metro rail service on July 18 evening after a police box under the footbridge at Mirpur-10 roundabout and beneath the metro rail line was set on fire. Mirpur-10 and Kazipara stations were vandalised the following day.
