Metrorail will run from day to night on Uttara-Motijheel route from today. Trains will run at all stations from 7:10 am to 8:40 pm. Eight trains will run during peak hours and seven during off-peak hours.
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Managing Director M A N Siddik made this announcement on last Thursday.
However, only MRT and Rapid passengers can travel at this time. Passengers can travel from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm by buying tickets from the counter.
Shahbagh and Kawran Bazar stations of Metrorail were launched on December 31. Through this, 16 stations of the MRT-6 line from Diabari to Motijheel became operational.
Different fares are fixed for each station. The minimum fare for metro rail is Tk 20. And the maximum fare for traveling from Uttara to Motijheel station is Tk 100.
