Slight fall in night temperatures across Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast that night temperatures across the country may fall slightly by 1–2°C over the next 24 hours, starting from Friday morning.

“Night temperatures may fall by 1–2°C, while day temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged over the country,” the BMD said in its regular weather bulletin issued this morning.

According to the bulletin, light fog may occur in some areas during the early morning. Apart from this, the weather is expected to remain dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies.

The BMD also noted that a ridge of sub-continental high pressure extends up to West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to the northeast Bay.

In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 5:11 pm today and will rise at 6:27 am tomorrow.
