The Meteorological Department said that Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions may experience rain with gusty winds or thundershowers temporarily. Also there may be scattered rain at some places.
This was informed in the forecast of the Meteorological Department today.
Intense heatwave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna, Jessore, Chuadanga and Kushtia districts. A mild to moderate heatwave is prevailing over Dhaka division, remnant of Rajshahi and Khulna divisions and Rangpur, Dinajpur, Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Bandarban and Bhola districts and may subside at some places.
According to the weather conditions for the next 72 hours, the likelihood of rain or thundershowers may continue. Day temperature may decrease by (1-3) degrees Celsius and night temperature may decrease slightly over the country.
Synoptic conditions indicate that a western low pressure extension is present over West Bengal and the surrounding regions, stretching all the way to the southern Bay of Bengal.
