The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has once again reduced gold prices in Bangladesh following a decline in international gold prices and a fall in the local market price of acid gold (pure gold). The latest adjustment lowers the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 4,432 per bhori, bringing the new rate to Tk 218,350 per bhori.
BAJUS announced the revision in a statement issued on Thursday morning. The new rates took effect from 10:00 a.m. on the same day.
According to the statement, the price adjustment was made after a decline in the local market price of acid gold (pure gold), taking into account overall market conditions.
Under the revised pricing structure, a bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold will now cost Tk 218,350. The price of 21-carat gold has been set at Tk 208,436 per bhori, while 18-carat gold will cost Tk 178,692 per bhori. Gold produced under the traditional method has been priced at Tk 145,508 per bhori.
