Gold prices increased again to Tk 142,266 per bhori

Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has announced an increase in gold prices in the local market, which will take effect from Sunday.

The price of gold has been raised by a maximum of Tk 2,823 per bhori.

As a result, the price of 22-carat gold will now be Tk 142,266 per bhori, up from Tk 137,449 as of Saturday, according to a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the BAJUS Pricing and Monitoring Standing Committee, on Saturday.

The price of melted gold has increased in the local market Taking the overall situation into account, the new prices will come into effect from Sunday, said the release.

On November 19, the price of gold had been reduced by a maximum of Tk 2,939 per bhori.

Under the new pricing:

22-carat gold will cost Tk 142,266 per bhori (11.664 grams),
21-carat gold will cost Tk 135,803,
18-carat gold will cost Tk 116,395,
Traditional (sonaton) gold will cost Tk 95,644.

Silver prices remain unchanged

The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 2,578 per bhori,
21-carat silver is Tk 2,449,
18-carat silver is Tk 2,111,
Traditional silver is Tk 1,586.
