Any property belongs to Evaly cannot be sold out or handed over, the High Court said.
A single bench of justice Muhammed Khurshid Alam Sarkar passed the order on Wednesday (September 22).
Earlier on the day two lawyers barrister Mohammed Humayun Kabir Pallab and Mohammed Kawsar filed a writ petition seeking judicial probe over the fraudulence, embezzlement and money laundering of e-commerce platforms.
The writ further sought directives to refund clients.
Secretaries of the ministry of commerce, finance, post of telecommunication and Minister, law, justice and parliamentary affairs, Bangladesh Bank governor, NBR chairman, National Consumers Rights Protection Department DG are made defendants of the petition.
Meanwhile, another case has been filed against Evaly CEO Mohammad Rassel and his wife, also chairman of the e-commerce site, taking the total number of cases to four.
A person, Md. Mujahidur Rahman, filed the case with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Wednesday. Testifying the complainant court ordered Dhanmondi police station to write an FIR. Prosecutor Azad Rahman confirmed the matter.
