Russia attacks Ukraine again, at least 5 people died

Russia has launched a new attack on several cities, including the capital of Ukraine, Kiev. At least 5 people have died in that country.

According to a Reuters report, the attack took place in the early hours today.

Several Ukrainian cities were attacked by missiles. Warning sirens started in different parts of the country.

A video shared on social media  from the city of Cherkasy Oblast showed flames and smoke in a building. Besides, one corner of the building has collapsed.

Explosions were heard in the country‍‍`s Cherkasy Oblast, Kremenchuk, Poltava, Mykolaiv in the south, as well as in the capital Kiev and surrounding areas.

Cherkasy Governor Ihar Taburetes said that emergency services were on the scene. Five people were taken to hospital.

Ukrainian authorities said that their air defense system are continuing to operate. Ukrainian forces have recently begun preparations for a major counter-offensive to recapture the Russian-occupied eastern and southern regions of Ukraine. This vigourous attack happened in such moment.
