U.S. President Donald Trump recently took a shot at French President Emmanuel Macron and UK opposition leader Keir Starmer, claiming they haven‍‍`t done enough to bring the ongoing war in Ukraine to an end.

His comments came ahead of their planned visits to the White House this week, which sparked attention across international news.

Trump expressed his belief that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shouldn‍‍`t be included in peace talks, stating that his presence at these discussions wouldn‍‍`t be necessary.

"There is no role for him in the peace talks," Trump remarked, underlining his stance on the matter.

This criticism comes as both France and the UK, along with their allies, have supported Ukraine since Russia‍‍`s invasion in 2022 by sending weapons and other military aid.

European leaders met in Paris recently to discuss the situation, raising concerns that Ukraine and Europe might be excluded from any potential peace deals.

Despite these sharp words, Trump was careful to show respect for the European leaders.

In an interview with Fox News, he described Macron as a friend and praised Starmer as a "very good person."

Macron‍‍`s visit to Washington D.C. is set for Monday, while Starmer is expected in the White House on Thursday.

In a recent statement, Starmer announced that the UK is ready to send soldiers to Ukraine as part of an agreement to ensure its security during peace talks.

On the broader issue of Europe’s stance toward Russia, European leaders have shown no interest in negotiating with Moscow over the war.

They continue to engage in discussions aimed at addressing the ongoing situation in Kyiv.

Since Russia‍‍`s invasion began, nations like the U.S., UK, Australia, Canada, and Japan have imposed more than 20,000 sanctions on Russia in an effort to put pressure on Moscow.
