The United States expects specific results from the meeting between President Joe Biden and President of China Xi Jinping, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said at the briefing.
"We`re also looking for specific outcomes from the meeting on November 15," Sullivan said.
The leaders are going to discuss various topics, including the situation in Ukraine and in the Middle East, and the restoration of communication channels in the defense sphere between Washington and Beijing, he noted.
"We believe that there are areas where our interests overlap, like our efforts to combat the illicit fentanyl trade. There are also areas where we can more effectively manage competition, for example, by reestablishing military to military communications. And there are of course, critical global issues that the two leaders will need to discuss," Sullivan stressed. "All in all, we`re looking forward to a productive meeting," he added.
