The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced the temporary closure of the Dhaka University metro rail station in connection with the upcoming Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections.
According to a notice signed by Rafiqul Haque, Manager (Administration) of DMTCL, the station will remain closed from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Monday, September 8, and throughout the day on Tuesday, September 9.
The directive, issued following a request from the Dhaka University Estate Office, states that the measure is being taken in the interest of passenger safety and to ensure smooth conduct of the DUCSU and hall union polls.
DMTCL has urged commuters to plan their travel accordingly during the closure.
