In response to the alleged attack on National Citizen Party (NCP) leaders in Gopalganj by members of the banned Awami League, Jatiya Juboshokti (National Youth Power) has announced a nationwide protest program titled “Bangla Blockade.”
In an official statement, Jatiya Juboshokti condemned the broad daylight assault, claiming it has spread fear throughout the country`s political landscape.
The organization accused the “terrorists backed by the outlawed party” of launching the attack and said such violence represents a grave violation of the constitutional rights to peaceful political activity, freedom of expression, and multi-party democracy.
“No amount of repression, violence, or intimidation can silence democratic spirit or lawful political movements,” the statement read. The youth organization further pledged to carry forward the spirit of July to “bury the ideology of Mujibism,” signaling continued resistance.
Jatiya Juboshokti demanded the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the perpetrators and called for a safe and equal political environment for all parties in Bangladesh.
Reaffirming NCP’s commitment to democracy, peace, and the people`s rights, the youth group urged citizens from all walks of life to unite in protest against the attack.
