As many as 14 units of fire service are working to take the massive blaze under control as the incidents of separate fire occurred at a spinning mill and a chemical factory in Narayanganj
A massive fire broke out at a chemical storage facility in the Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj on Tuesday around 1:30pm.
According to Khaleda Yeasmin, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters, five firefighting units were deployed to douse the blaze that broke out at HP Chemicals in the Duptara area about 1:30pm.
She went on saying that the cause of the fire was not immediately established.
In another development, Fakhruddin, Assistant Deputy Director of Fire Service and Civil Defence of Narayanganj to TheReport.live that Nannu Spinning Mills Ltd. located in Gausia Bhulta area of Rupganj upazila caught fire around 1:00pm. Being informed, nine units of fire service started working to control the fire.
No casualties have been reported so far in both the incidents, he said.
