Bus driver, helper arrested: Northern University student’s death

Police arrested the driver and helper of the bus that hit a motorcycle and killing a university student in Dhaka on Sunday.

The arrestees are identified as driver Md Liton, 38, and bus helper Abul Khayer, 22.

The victim Nadia, 24-year-old, was a first semester student at the pharmacy department of Northern University.

She was killed after being hit by a bus in the capital's Baridhara.

Later, the victim's father, Jahangir Alam, filed a case with the Vatara police station.

The incident took place at around 1pm near Jamuna Future Park shopping mall. Police seized the bus after the accident.
