The fourth Covid-19 vaccine dose campaign starts today across the country.
Director general of the Directorate General of Health Services, Ahmedul Kabir, launched the campaign at Kurmitola general Hospital in Dhaka at 9:00am, on trial basis.
This is going to be a special campaign for people aged above 60, said a circular of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The fourth dose will be given at seven centers. Each center has been assigned with one hundred people, who will be vaccinated and they will be kept under observation for two weeks.
Front liners, pregnant women, immunocompromised people and patients suffering from chronic diseases will be given the vaccine during the campaign. All citizens having health risks will be vaccinated with the fourth dose from January 1 next year.
Pfizer vaccine is being used in the campaign at all permanent vaccination centres across the country.
