AL-JaPa seat-sharing decision by 4 pm: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said the final decision on seat-sharing and withdrawal of candidacies will be made after 4 p.m. today.

At a press conference on Sunday,(December 17) in the capital‍‍`s Dhanmondi, the Awami League leader made these remarks in response to reporters.

Quader said, "Jatiya Party has their own demand, when they place any demand, it might be quite high, but we have to think about our capacity when we sit to negotiate. There is an issue of accommodation and adjustment."

Asked whether Jatiya Party can quit the election race, Quader said, " I did not receive any call indicating that they would be changing their mind about their choice to participate in the election, we are in talks with the Jatiya Party, nothing unusual has been  observed so far, we have to wait till 4 pm to know the matter finally."  

The briefing was attended by a number of people, including BM Mozammel Haque, Organizing Secretaries Mirza Azama and AFM Bahauddin Nasim, and AL Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak.
