Nure Alam, Bhola district unit president of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal(JCD), has succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Dhaka.
He breathed his last on Wednesday afternoon, raising the death toll from the BNP-police clash to two.
Earlier on Sunday, he received bullets during a clash between police and BNP men during the party’s nationwide demonstration protesting load-shedding.
He was taken to Comfort Diagnostic Centre in the capital the same day.
Humayun Kabir Swapan, joint general secretary of district unit BNP, confirmed the death.
Local Swechchasebak Dal leader Abdur Rahim dead and some other leaders and activists of the party injured in the clash.
