The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has outlined its plans for celebrating the Great Independence and National Day on March 26, aiming to observe the day with honor and respect.
The details were shared in a press release signed by Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Monday, March 24.
The celebration will begin at 6:00 AM with the hoisting of the national and party flags at the BNP`s central office in Naya Paltan, along with all party offices across the country.
Later in the morning, at 8:00 AM, BNP leaders and activists will gather at the Chairperson’s office in Gulshan and make their way to the National Martyrs’ Memorial to honor the nation`s heroes.
The BNP delegation is expected to lay wreaths at the memorial by 8:30 AM.
Upon returning to Dhaka, party leaders and members will visit the grave of BNP founder and former President Shaheed Ziaur Rahman, where they will lay flowers and offer prayers.
A special prayer session, organized by the BNP-affiliated Jatiyatabadi Ulama Dal, will take place at the site to honor the former president and mark the significance of the day.
In addition to these events, the BNP has encouraged all of its units at the district, city, upazila, and municipal levels to hold discussions and other relevant programs to commemorate the occasion.
The party’s affiliated organizations have also been urged to organize and implement their own celebratory activities.
The BNP has called upon its leaders and activists across the country to ensure the success of these initiatives and to actively participate in the programs to show respect to the spirit of Independence Day.
In a separate event scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, a day before the Independence Day celebrations, the BNP will host a discussion session at 11:00 AM at the Engineer’s Institution auditorium in Ramna.
The discussion will feature prominent BNP leaders and distinguished personalities who will deliver speeches to mark the significance of the Great Independence and National Day.
This comprehensive lineup of events is part of the BNP`s efforts to honor the nation`s history and bring together its supporters in observance of the day that holds deep significance for Bangladesh.
