GM Quader, the chairperson of the Jatiya Party, has urged a "all-party dialogue to ensure a free and fair election" in Bangladesh.
In a telephonic conversation with Indian media the Hindu, he came up with the call.
In the interview, Quader established equal distance from the BNP and the administration of Prime Minister Hasina.
According to Quader, it is crucial that the administration initiate talks with all political groups.
In the interview, he stated, "We want all sides should sit down and discuss a way out to ensure a free and fair election."
However, Quader disagreed with the BNP`s desire for a caretaker administration.
The leader of the Jatiya Party claimed that although they have insisted on a caretaker administration, they have not specified how it should be structured. He seemed to be in favor of a third option—a compromise strategy—that can take on the controversial issues.
