Khaleda Zia gives fingerprints for US visa

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia today visited the US Embassy in Dhaka to give her biometric fingerprint for visa.

Upon her arrival at the embassy, its officials, including acting ambassador welcomed the BNP Chairperson.

Begum Zia was accompanied by her personal physicians BNP Standing Committee member Prof Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain and Dr. Mohammad Mamun, party’s Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid and her Private Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar.

Dr Zahid Hossain said Khaleda Zia may have to go to the USA for better treatment and that is why she went to the embassy for providing biometric fingerprint.

Khaleda Zia, also former Prime Minister, 79, has been suffering from various ailments for long time.

Although she was being treated at Evercare Hospital, the medical board recommended her to take better treatment from multidisciplinary center.

In view of this, Begum Khaleda Zia is preparing to go to London first and then to the United States, according to her physicians.
