BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will contest the upcoming general election from the Dhaka-17 and Bogura-6 constituencies, a senior party leader said on Saturday.
BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed confirmed the decision while speaking to journalists.
He also said Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman Andaleeve Rahman Partho will contest the election from Bhola-1 instead of Dhaka-17.
Earlier, the BNP had announced that only party Chairperson Khaleda Zia would contest the general election from more than one constituency.
