Her excellent innings helped the team achieve their highest-ever ODI total of 252 runs, breaking their previous record of 250, set against South Africa.

Bangladesh got off to a steady start, thanks to the opening partnership of Fargana Hoque and Murshida Khatun, who put on 59 runs together.

Murshida was the first to get out after scoring 38 runs from 61 balls, bringing an end to the solid start. Fargana Hoque went on to score 61 runs off 110 deliveries, hitting four boundaries before she was dismissed.

After the openers departed, Sharmin Supta and captain Nigar Sultana Joty took control, steadily building the score. Joty was looking comfortable but fell after making 28 runs from 28 balls, leaving Supta to lead the charge.

Sharmin Supta came very close to scoring a century but was dismissed in the 49th over, caught by Arlene Kelly off Freya Sargent’s bowling. She scored 96 runs, including 14 boundaries, from 89 balls.

Towards the end of the innings, Shorna Akter remained not out on 13, while Sobhana Mostary was unbeaten on 5. Freya Sargent was the best bowler for Ireland, taking 2 wickets.
