The dates for the 2027 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have been announced. According to Education Ministry Secretary A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon, the SSC and equivalent exams will begin on January 7, 2027.
Speaking at an emergency press briefing held this afternoon at the Ministry of Education conference room, he also confirmed that the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will start on June 6, 2027.
The SSC examinations will run until February 6, while the HSC examinations are scheduled to conclude on July 13, he said.
He added that the examination schedules are currently being prepared, and efforts are underway to reduce the time required to publish results.
“There is a practice of publishing results within two months. However, we are trying to further reduce this time,” the education minister said.
Earlier, there had been plans to hold the exams in December, but the schedule was revised to the newly announced dates following objections from stakeholders.
