Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave for Qatar's capital Doha today (Saturday) to attend the 5th United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries (LDC 5: From Probability to Prosperity).
A foreign ministry spokesperson said Bangladesh is expected to seek global support for a smooth transition from LDC at the conference. It is believed to be Dhaka's last participation as a member state of this group in the conference to be held in Doha on March 5-9. Because Bangladesh is going to transition from the forum by 2026.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will lead a high-level delegation to the conference. Apart from his participation in the LDC 5 summit, he will also hold bilateral meetings with the Emir of Qatar and other officials.
