FBCCI will brand Bangladesh in the international exhibition to be held in Dubai. This was stated by FBCCI President Md. Jasim Uddin at a meeting held at the Ministry of Commerce on Wednesday.
The Ministry of Commerce of the Government of Bangladesh has organized a special meeting with the private sector on the occasion of this six-month international exhibition to be held in Dubai from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. It was presided over by Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi. He said the 180-day exhibition could play a vital role in highlighting the strengths of Bangladesh's economy and brightening the country's image. But that is why the active participation of the private sector is essential.
During the meeting, the FBCCI President said that steps have already been taken to highlight all the potential sectors of the country at the Dubai Expo. A specialized committee is working for this. The FBCCI President hopes that the world entrepreneurs will see a new strong Bangladesh at the exhibition in Dubai. Former FBCCI president and Dhaka-10 MP Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin will be the business focal person at the Dubai exhibition. He said the event has given Bangladesh an opportunity to capture the huge markets of the Middle East and Africa.
During the meeting, FBCCI vice-president and convener of the expo committee Mohammad Amin Helali said the FBCCI would take the utmost action to highlight positive Bangladesh in the exhibition. However, he sought the help of the government to make the participation a success. The meeting, chaired by Commerce Ministry Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, was attended by the presidents of the Association of Exporters of Leather Products, Information Technology, Agricultural Products, Processed Food and Vegetables, DCCI President and President of Wender, an organization of women entrepreneurs.
