C.R. Abrar to become new Education Advisor, swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday

Professor C.R. Abrar, a well-known human rights activist, is set to join the interim government as an advisor. 

This was confirmed by Syeda Rizwana Hasan, the Environment Advisor, in a statement to the press on Tuesday.

Rizwana shared that C.R. Abrar will take the oath as the new education advisor. 

"He will be overseeing the Ministry of Education," she said. 

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at Bangabhaban at 11 AM on Wednesday.

Abrar, who is the Executive Director of the Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU), has a long history of advocating for the rights of migrant workers. 

He is also a former faculty member of the Department of International Relations at Dhaka University.

With the inclusion of CR Abrar, the Advisory Council will now have 22 members in total.
