Health authorities today confirmed that 114 fresh dengue cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.
A spokesperson of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said the cases were recorded during the 24 hours ending at 8:00 am today.
According to the DGHS, the division-wise breakdown of the newly hospitalised dengue patients is as follows:
- Barishal Division: 10 patients
- Chattogram Division: 40 patients
- Dhaka Division (excluding the capital): 4 patients
- Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC): 16 patients
- Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC): 25 patients
- Khulna Division: 14 patients
- Mymensingh Division: 3 patients
- Sylhet Division: 2 patients
Since the beginning of this year, dengue has claimed 412 lives in Bangladesh, while the total number of infections has reached 102,562.
Last year, the mosquito-borne disease claimed 575 lives and affected 101,214 people across the country.
