Health officials have reported 165 new dengue cases in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A breakdown of hospitalizations shows:
- Barishal: 8
- Chattogram: 27
- Dhaka (excluding capital): 24
- Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC): 33
- Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC): 43
- Khulna: 10
- Mymensingh: 13
- Rajshahi: 4
- Rangpur: 2
- Sylhet: 1
So far this year, dengue has caused 412 deaths and affected 101,956 people across the country. By comparison, last year saw 575 deaths and 101,214 infections.
Health authorities continue to urge the public to remain cautious and take preventive measures against mosquito breeding and bites.
