Bangladesh reported three dengue-related deaths in the past 24 hours, while 556 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room released the latest update on Tuesday (September 30), covering data from 8:00 am Monday to 8:00 am Tuesday.
Of the new admissions, 137 were in Barishal division (outside city corporations), 70 in Chattogram division (outside city corporations), 79 in Dhaka division (outside city corporations), 101 in Dhaka North City, 113 in Dhaka South City, 28 in Mymensingh division (outside city corporations), 25 in Rajshahi division (outside city corporations), and three in Rangpur and Sylhet divisions (outside city corporations).
During the same period, 612 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals nationwide. With this, a total of 44,796 patients have recovered so far this year.
The three deceased, all male, were residents of Barishal division.
Since January, Bangladesh has recorded 47,342 hospitalizations due to dengue, with 198 deaths reported as of September 30, 2025.
