A murder case has been filed against unidentified people centering arson attack on the Benapole Express train in Dhaka last night that killed four persons.
SM Nurul Islam, the train`s director, filed a case with the Dhaka Railway Police Station this evening.
The station`s officer-in-charge, Ferdous Ahmed Biswas confirmed the matter to media.According to authorities, the complainant accused the unidentified individuals of killing passengers by sabotaging the train.
Around 9:05am on Friday, arsonists in Dhaka set fire to the Benapole Express train at Gopibagh area, leaving four people dead and over a dozen injured.
When the train arrived in Sayedabad, witnesses claimed to have seen the fire.
Detectives reported on Saturday, hours before the case was filed, that they had taken eight people into custody for their roles in the train fire, including five Jubo Dal activists and Nabi Ullah Nabi, joint convener of the BNP`s Dhaka south city unit.
