Formal charges have been filed against Sheikh Hasina, Tarik Ahmed Siddique, and 26 other individuals in connection with multiple enforced disappearance cases during the Awami League government, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
The announcement was made at the International Crimes Tribunal-1 by Prosecutor Gazi M.H. Tamim.
Prosecutor Tamim stated that five separate charges were brought against Sheikh Hasina, Tarik Ahmed Siddique, and 17 others under the RAB Task Force Interrogation (TFI) regarding enforced disappearances. Additionally, five more charges were filed against Sheikh Hasina, Tarik Ahmed Siddique, and 13 others under cases handled by the DGFI-led Joint Interrogation Committee (JIC).
Separately, six charges were formally filed against four members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in connection with the killing in Rampura during the anti-discrimination movement.
