Activists Mizanur Rahman, who came under spotlight after staging a protest against murky Wasa water, has reportedly been picked up by the law enforcers.
Mizanur's wife Shamim Hasem Khuki said: “A group of people – some in police uniform – picked him up from near Bikrampur Plaza in Jurain around 11:00am on Thursday. He called me and informed over the phone.”
Contacted Mofizul Alam, officer-in-charge of Syampur Police Station, said they did not pick up Miazanur but they came to know that detectives captured him.
He informed that Mizanur is a suspected instigator in the mob beating of a traffic sergeant in Jurain on Tuesday.
However, a DB official concerned said they did not pick up any Mizanur.
