Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has started briefing media on her recent visit to India where she hailed the bilateral relations of the two nations.
In beginning, she gave detailed information of all the MoUs signed between the two nations and provided a day by day breakdown on her four-day tour.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Dhaka on September 8 after wrapping up her four-day state visit to India.
During her India visit, she held bi lateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other high-ups.
After holding the bilateral talks, seven MoUs (Memorandums of Understandings) were signed between the two neighbouring countries that included a MoU on withdrawal of 153 cusec water from Kushiara River by Bangladesh.
The two premiers also unveiled several projects jointly taken by both the countries that included Unit-I of Maitree Power Plant, a 1320 (660x2) MW super critical coal-fired thermal power plant at Rampal, Khulna.
A joint statement was issued later in which India offered free transit to Bangladesh for exporting its products to the third country as Bangladesh's premier and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi have reiterated their strong commitment to strengthening bilateral relations further.
