A Brazilian OnlyFans star who was filmed having sex with an inmate in a jail cell tried to flee the UK before she was arrested at Heathrow airport, a court has heard.
Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30-year-old prison officer, is facing jail after the clip from inside HMP Wandsworth prison was shared on social media.
In the footage, Ms De Sousa Abreu – who appeared on a swingers show on Channel 4 – is seen with convicted burglar Linton Weirich, 36, as her discarded radio constantly crackles with messages from colleagues.
Linton, a felon booked for an $82,000 (1 crore Taka aprox.) luxury goods heist in Kensington, London.
Linton was locked up earlier this year for burgling several homes near his own in South West London while wearing an electronic tag, is serving four years and nine months.
Linda De Sousa was on duty at the south London prison when she entered the prisoner’s cell on 27 June and had sex with Linton.
The encounter was filmed by another inmate and went viral on social media.
During the footage, the con filming the tryst joked: “This is how we live at Wandsworth.”
X-rated footage of the acts was also circulated among lags using illegally-held phones. This also raise concern on the security of the prison located in south London.
Ms De Sousa Abreu, of Fulham, south-west London, admitted one charge of misconduct in public office when she appeared at Isleworth Crown Court.
Her charge sheet states that her conduct “amounted to an abuse of the public’s trust in the office holder by engaging in a sexual act with a prisoner in a prison cell”.
Wearing a white blazer and black top, she showed no emotion after admitting the single charge.
Eloise Marshall KC, prosecuting, told the court a police interview recorded with the inmate in the video “contains information that will be subject of further investigation”.
She pleaded guilty before the count of misconduct in a public office, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Martin Edmunds KC, the judge granted her conditional bail and scheduled to appear back in court on Nov. 7. He also ordered a pre-sentence report.
Ms De Sousa’s Portuguese passport must remain in police possession, she cannot apply for any international travel documents and is barred from entering any UK travel ports. She is also subject to an electronically monitored curfew between 7pm and 9am each day.
Gayathri Yogarajah, her lawyer, earlier described her as a “young mother” and “a person of good character”.
The officer had telephoned the prison as she fled to Heathrow Airport to say that she was not returning to work and that her husband would return her equipment.
She was arrested there at the airport while trying to catch a flight to Madrid.
OnlyFans account holder
While she has remained silent over her arrest, Ms De Sousa spoke up earlier this month to condemn porn stars who were pretending to be her on OnlyFans and filming parodies of her video.
OnlyFans is an internet content subscription service based in London, used primarily by sex workers who produce pornography.
Married Linda De Sousa is originally from Brazil and shares an OnlyFans account with her husband under the pseudonyms “Linda from the Playroom” and “La Madre”, which is Spanish for “The Mother”.
Reaction of family members on Linda’s act
Friends of Linda’s husband, who has been married to the prison guard for six years, added he was “shocked” by his wife’s actions.
But De Sousa’s fuming father-in-law did not let her mistake slide, saying: “This is something that happened where she was on her own.”
“She was the person in charge and she was the one who needs to take responsibility as far as I’m concerned,” the father-in-law added.
He also said, “Her husband didn’t know she was doing anything... She’s an idiot as far as I’m concerned.”
He would only characterise his son’s marriage as “political” when asked about its current state.
Wandsworth Prison has a history of making headlines. A watchdog previously warned of “significant” security weaknesses that could still allow prisoners to escape, even after a terror suspect`s jailbreak. The watchdog had earlier suggested shutting down the facility.
