Abdul Hannan Masud, Senior Joint Chief Coordinator of the National Citizens Party (NCP), and Shyamoli Sultana Zedni, Co-Director of the Media Cell of the Bangladesh Democratic Student Society (Bagchas), have officially announced their engagement.
The couple shared the news on their personal Facebook accounts on Friday, revealing that the engagement ceremony took place on Thursday.
Posting a photo of the engagement rings, Hannan and Zedni wrote: “And We created you in pairs (Surah An-Naba, Ayat 8). Alhamdulillah.”
The engagement was held privately in Kamrangirchar, Dhaka, with close family members in attendance.
Shyamoli Zedni is a student of the Environmental Science and Management Department at North South University. Hannan Masud, a key coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, joined the NCP earlier this year in February.
